Church Planting
In Bosnia today the evangelical witness is tiny. It is estimated that out of a total population of 4 million there are only 700 members of evangelical churches or groups. As a result the vast majority of the population have yet to hear the gospel.
The same is true across the Balkans (South Eastern Europe) where there are villages, towns, even whole regions, where there is no witness.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"

Our Solution:
There are Christians in each country prepared to move to a new village, town or region to establish a small church or group. Living in the midst of a community they can be salt and light, day by day sharing the gospel with their neighbours and colleagues through their words and their actions. What is missing is the financial and practical support to make this happen.
Help is needed for:
- Funding to support the church planters as they leave their jobs and move to a new area. For example a gift of just $120 a month is all that is needed to support a full time worker in a new church plant.
- Funding to rent a meeting place once the group outgrows the home they are meeting in.
- Humanitarian Aid such as the Harvest for the Hungry food parcels. In many locations across the region church planters have found that distribution of help to the poor and needy is one of the most effective ways of establishing credibility and giving them the opportunity to talk about Jesus.
- Teaching and Training. Many church planters have found the Alpha course to be the perfect follow-up to initial contact with neighbours and people they meet. Sponsorship is needed for the meals on the Alpha course and for the church planters to attend an Alpha training event.
