| Sinisa and Olja Stojkovic went to the Novi Sad Christian Fellowship in Serbia until they felt called by God to plant a Church in Banja Luka, Bosnia. This led to much prayer and discussion as Sinisa had deserted the Bosnian army during the war and fled as a refugee to Novi Sad. However, they plucked up the courage to attend Bible School before moving to Banja Luka with their two sons, Nikola (10) and Jovan (6). Sinisa and Olja worked with another couple to distribute food parcels, providing opportunities to meet people and share the Gospel. Their first Bible Study received no attendees, but they persevered with patience and eventually began to succeed in building the church. Last year they started an Alpha Course and four people came to Christ and joined the Church. Today there are about 20 people meeting together regularly with more new faces every week! Sinisa and Olja hope and pray that students from the universities in the town will become believers; they are also currently planning and praying to open a library and they would like to start a project to get young people off the streets. How You Can Help - Sinisa and Olja are beginning their third Alpha course this September and need funds for food and course material. - The building they meet in is rented and a regular standing order would help to ensure they could maintain this and continue to meet in a set location. |
